MouseTestHQ is an independent publication that helps people buy better mice and keyboards — and verify the gear they already own actually works as advertised.
Our Mission
Most hardware review sites bury real measurements under marketing copy. MouseTestHQ takes the opposite approach: we build the testing tools ourselves and show you the raw numbers. If a mouse claims 8000Hz polling, you can verify it on this site in 10 seconds. If a keyboard claims "anti-ghosting," we have a test for that too.
What We Built
- Click Speed Test (CPS) — measure clicks per second with millisecond precision. Your best score is saved locally; nothing is sent to a server.
- Keyboard Tester — visualize every keypress and run an anti-ghosting / N-key rollover check.
- Mouse Polling Rate Checker — measure the actual Hz your computer receives from your mouse, with a real-time graph.
- Click Latency Test — benchmark your reaction time across multiple rounds, with histogram visualization.
Every tool runs entirely in your browser. No data leaves your device. No account required. No upsells.
Editorial Standards
When we recommend a product, we do so because we believe it's the best option for the use case described — not because a manufacturer asked us to. Our buying guides are written by people who actually use the hardware daily.
How we test
We buy most of our review units at retail. When a manufacturer sends us a sample, we disclose it on the review page. We never accept payment in exchange for coverage, ranking, or score. Where a manufacturer-provided unit is used, we retain the unit for long-term testing rather than disposing of it after publication.
