MouseTestHQ is an independent publication that helps people buy better mice and keyboards — and verify the gear they already own actually works as advertised.
Our Mission
Most hardware review sites bury real measurements under marketing copy. MouseTestHQ takes the opposite approach: we build the testing tools ourselves and show you the raw numbers. If a mouse claims 8000Hz polling, you can verify it on this site in 10 seconds. If a keyboard claims "anti-ghosting," we have a test for that too.

Every tool runs entirely in your browser. No data leaves your device. No account required. No upsells.
Editorial Standards
When we recommend a product, we do so because we believe it's the best option for the use case described — not because a manufacturer asked us to. Our buying guides are written by people who actually use the hardware daily.
How we test
We buy most of our review units at retail. When a manufacturer sends us a sample, we disclose it on the review page. We never accept payment in exchange for coverage, ranking, or score. Where a manufacturer-provided unit is used, we retain the unit for long-term testing rather than disposing of it after publication.

Every recommendation on this site is based on testing we did ourselves, and our full methodology is published openly so you can judge our process for yourself.
How do you make money from this site?
Two ways, both disclosed clearly. We earn a small commission when you buy through our Amazon links, and we may display Google AdSense ads. Neither affects what we recommend, because our editorial picks are made on testing and scoring before affiliate links are attached. Our affiliate disclosure page explains the mechanics in full, and you should always assume a link earns us something.
Can I trust your reviews?
You should judge us on the transparency of our process rather than take our word for it. Our methodology page documents the exact equipment, the test protocol for sensor accuracy, polling rate and click latency, and the scoring rubric we apply to every product. If a brand disagrees with our result, we will test it again and publish the result either way.
Do you take free products from brands?
No. We do not accept review units, and we do not accept payment for reviews. If a brand sends us a product unsolicited, we are not required to cover it and we do not cover it on the basis of having received it. This is the single most common way review sites lose independence, so we keep a strict separation between our testing and any commercial relationship.
How do I request a correction?
Use our contact form and select the correction topic. If a measurement, price, or spec in a guide is wrong, we will correct it and note the change with a date. Accuracy matters more than protecting a wrong number, because a wrong number costs readers real money when they buy the wrong product.
